Antalya has a classic hot-summer Mediterranean climate: long, very hot summers and mild, wetter winters. The sea is swimmable from around April to November, comfortably longer than most European rivals. Peak season runs June to August, when UK, German and Russian package-holiday demand converges and daytime temperatures regularly pass 35°C; late July and August are the hottest and most expensive weeks of the year.
May, June and September into October are the shoulder seasons and generally the best value: warm, reliably dry weather with beach temperatures in the high twenties, and prices well below the July-August peak. November through March is off-season for beach tourism, too cool and wet to swim comfortably for most visitors, though the coast still attracts a smaller winter-sun and golf market drawn by mild daytime temperatures compared with the UK.

October half term is a strong choice: the sea is still warm from summer, daytime highs are typically in the mid-twenties, and prices have dropped well below August's peak. The summer holidays are Antalya's most expensive and busiest weeks, with August the priciest; if your dates are flexible within the break, the second half of August is marginally calmer than late July. Easter falls before the region's swimming season is fully underway, so expect a milder, quieter trip with a cooler sea. February half term is off-season for the coast, mild by UK standards but too cool to swim, better suited to sightseeing than a beach holiday.
